Prism Powder Coatings W-series is designed for application over medium density fiber board or similar substrates. The 'W'-series of powders can be handled like conventional powder coatings for spray application, but are generally applied over the pre heated substrate at higher than usual film thickness (e.g. 6 mils) available in various colours, gloss ranges and sandtex finishes.

Some applications suitable for Arbortek would be Office desks (MDF), Store displays (MDF), Shelving (MDF), TV-stands (MDF), Stereo-stands (MDF)

Limitations

Arbortek is not recommended for outdoor use, its ease of application depends on moisture level in the MDF: Too low (<5%) not Okay, Too high (<5%) not okay, Too high (>10%) is not recommended, flow rate depends on film thickness, e.g. 6 mils, and the quality of board has influence on "cracking" after cure cycles & storage.

Curing Cycles

Preheat (MDF) to 80 - 1300 C (190 - 2700F) surface temperature (via IR and convection) Apply 2 to 10 mils powder. Post cure at 100 - 1500C (210 - 3000F) surface temperature (via IR and convection)
